Lasek/Lasik Standard... May 15th!
Hello, I'm new to the forums and was wondering if anyone had had either of the standard versions of the treatments from ultralase.
This would either be Lasik standard or Lasek standard as this is about all I can afford to pay due to debts etc...
I had my consultation last week and I was very impressed with Ultralase so decided to go with them, at the end I was told that I was suitable for ANY
of the treatments they offered.
Currently I'm trying to make the decision and was wondering if anyone has had the standard version of the treatment.
I would love to get wavefront but I simply cannot afford this option.
Replies will be greatly appreciated

Hi,
I don't know if you've had anything done yet, but I would strongly recommend you have consultations with other clinics first, as you could probably
get wavefront treatment for the same price as the standard Ultralase. I was going to go with Ultralase until I had my consultation with Optical
Express today, and realised I could get pretty much the same treatment for half the price.
Good luck whatever you decide,
Kate.

Hi MaldonKate,
Very sound advice about visiting more than one clinic to see what you prefer.
It's worth also noting things like lifetime care guarantees, and further treatment which might be needed. Some lifetime care guarantees can be short
term and you could end up paying for retreatment along the line.
Also worth looking up the different types of equipment used by the providers and doing some research into the results of the treatments.
Thanks,
Luisa

Optimax
Hi
I agree, please get another consultation. I had a bad experience at Optical Express and would strongly reccoment Optimax.
Please e mail me if you want more details.

Hi Stephen,
As mentioned in my U2U with you, I'm removing your e-mail address because it's not recommended to broadcast personal details on the forum.
If you want to share them in U2U then thats fine.

e mail address
Hi Luisa
I have refrained from giving details of the Optimax referal scheme as requested.
However I think that showing my e mail address is my personal choice. I do not want to log into the forum every day to see if I have any U2Us.
Please can you advise which of the Boards Rules I have broken by showing my e mail address.
many thanks

Hi Stephen B,
If you want to place your e-mail address on your signature then that's fine, I was merely trying to help from a data security point of view. It's
usually just best practice to try and refrain from posting anything personal on a forum.
